GALVAN
Who: Galvan, a Web3 health company

What: Create brand name/story and its product names/stories

Why: Bring the brand into the market to encourage product sign ups
I was brought into this project to build a health brand in the Web3 space where people can store their health records and storing their workout data on the blockchain for digital rewards. They previously had a brand name and a product, but the name (Blue) was synonymous in the health space. They wanted something completely different.
I began my process by taking them through my Hero’s Journey framework. I asked them questions about their business:
-
Who are your customers?
-
What’s your customer’s problem?
-
How can you empathize with your customers?
-
Why are you a trustworthy authority in this space?
-
What does it mean for your customers to find success?
-
How will the customer be transformed?
Asking these questions gave me a great foundation to create their brand name and message.
A large part of the brand aspiration was to spur their audience into taking control of their wellness. I went through many categories of potential names, but one name stuck: Galvan.
Galvan (short of Galvanize) perfectly describes the brand’s goal of galvanizing its audience to take action. When I presented it, it almost had unanimous approval.
From there, I was responsible for naming and creating brand stories for all their different products while the design team created visual branding.
I’m proud of the work I did on this project. The brand is going strong, connecting even more with its audience, and selling more node licenses than before.
